[기억하는 사물들]을 선보인 창작그룹 노니는 사연이 담긴 사물들을 전관에 풀어놓았다. 3등대합실 안의 거대한 설치물 주변에 놓인 여행용 가방, 기차표에 구멍을 뚫는 펀치, 고무신 등의 사물들은 방을 가득 채우는 기차 경적소리와 함께 기차역을 둘러싼 기억을 되살렸다. 방을 나와 마주한 복도에는 실타래가 길게 풀려 늘어져 있고, 그 끝에는 군인들과 전쟁터를 연상시키는 작은 모형인형들이 놓여 있었다. 실타래가 놓여 있는 빈 의자 위에 잠시 앉아 실타래를 들고 눈을 감아보니, 마치 군대에 간 연인을, 혹은 자식을 기다리는 어머니의 기억이 전달되는 듯했다. 종군기자의 방인 듯한 또 다른 방에는 바쁘게 돌아가는 타자기와 안경들이 놓여 있는 책상이, 그리고 창밖에서 쉬지 않고 터지는 불빛들이 있었다. 군화들이 잔뜩 놓인 방, 넥타이들이 걸려 있고 전화벨이 계속 울리는 방까지, 창작그룹 노니는 몇몇의 사물들로 각 공간들을 채웠고, 관객들은 그 공간 안에 들어가 사물들이 기억하고 있는 것들을 함께 경험했다.

For the performance Things that Remember , the ensemble Creative Group NONI scattered objects with backstories across the building. Along with objects such as a traveller’s bag, a ticket punch and rubber shoes placed next to a huge installation in a waiting room on the third floor, a train horn sound fills up the space, recalling memories of a train station. Coming out of the room, a long, loose thread skein is laying in the hallway and small doll-like figures, reminding of soldiers on a battlefield, are displayed at the end of it. Seated on an empty chair and closing my eyes while holding a thread skein that was placed there, it seems as if a memory of someone (or a mother waiting for her lover or son coming out of the army) came to me. In another room, there was an operating typewriter and glasses on top of a desk – as if we were in a war correspondent’s office – with constant flashes of light outside the window. From a room featuring a number of military boots to another room filled with hanging neckties and a non-stop ringing telephone, NONI has filled up these spaces with specific objects that enable the audience to experience and reminiscence things by walking into that space.
